Candi sembadra dieng yang sesuai dengan nama dalam tradisi pewayangan jawa adalah Sembadra (Dewi Subadra) atau sosok perempuan yang di persunting arjuna. Sebagai istri sembadra memiliki karakter yang unik, seorang yang penyabar, budi pekerti baik , dan setia.
